From Chris Beach at AutoBase:

What are some of the new challenges you are facing at AutoBase this year?

ANSWER: With our continuing growth and the potential for more, it has been amazing to see how, with everyone’s work, new opportunities are being presented for our team.

Members of our management are taking on new responsibilities, and stepping into new roles. I am contributing by taking some responsibilities off [Regional VP] Dave Snee’s plate. It frees him to help lead AutoBase into our next frontier.

I’m now in charge of the daily leadership for our Maryland Operation – scheduling, overseeing vehicle maintenance and general administration – and the extremely important one: continuing to build our client relationships.

How has each individual’s background helped in this job?

ANSWER:  We have people with a wide variety of in-depth experience in different areas. And what I notice is that the door is open to moving people into roles where they are best suited for success. We can have the right people in the right places, at the right times.

The leadership at AutoBase is much like a winning sports team. We don’t have a group of people that all play the same position.

Do you have one good story that represents the best of your team and your work?

ANSWER: One of the things that I love about AutoBase is that we look out for one another. We have each other’s backs. I saw it in our Maryland Operation this past winter. We had a driver who missed a couple of months of work due to illness. In response, our team worked whatever shifts necessary to cover his absence and management supported us with overtime pay. In addition, we had his position waiting for him when he returned to work.

We also joined together to provide him with a gift to help ease the hardship of missing multiple months of work. It was as if our team stepped up to take care of a brother. The situation has worked to unite us. It was one of the moments when I was very proud to be a member of AutoBase. Everyone here is in my prayers.
